Working his way up from assistant at the legendary Ocean Way studios, Drew Brown became one of LA’s go to young engineers. Picked by Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich to be his right hand man, Drew found himself working with luminaries such as Radiohead, Beck and The White Stripes. Soon enough, Beck gave him a position as in-house engineer, working on multiple albums for the artist as well as collaborating with him on productions for Charlotte Gainsbourg and others (they remain tight collaborators).
His work with household names such as those above led to celebrated work for Blonde Redhead, The Lower Dens, Foxygen, Sandro Perri and others. After a short break to finish an MFA in Photography from Yale, Drew returned to recording with a passion, producing and mixing Motion Graphics for Domino, Dan Mangan for Arts & Crafts and Bo Ningen for Hostess. In addition, Drew has expanded his composition career, scoring numerous multi-media pieces. On occasion, Drew engineers when a friend needs someone who can work with A-list talent.
